Utah adds new captives and cells, fuelled by CIC re-domestications

Utah’s insurance regulator has started 2026 as it ended 2025 – with a slew of new captive insurance and captive cell licenses.

Recent filings show that the Utah Insurance Department (UID) last month approved the domicile’s second and third captive insurers of 2026.
